Lynwood "Oscar" Wagner

Oscar Wagner began running at a later age, starting only in 1995, but he quickly became a valuable SFTC volunteer. Oscar has served the club in multiple capacities including:
- SFTC president in 2001
- Secretary from 2013-2014
- Split Times Editor for five years
- Past King and Queen of the Road Coordinator
- Past Awards Banquet Coordinator
- Active in SFTC's annual selection of the Outstanding High School Runners of the Year Award
- Previously club's lead timer
- Served as the club's Course Measurer as he is an IAAF Grade B Measurer
Oscar's running accomplishments are many and include:
He holds or has held the Tennessee State Running Record for:
- 10 Mile age 65 in 1:12:08.0
- 8 Mile age 65 in 57:09.2
- 4 Mile age 51 in 22:58
His biggest thrill was winning male masters at the copetitive 1999 Crazy 8's Race.
He also has his own race timing and course measuring company as Oscar's Race Results that is a benefit to the area running community and charitable organizations in measuring and timing their fund-raising races. He also volunteers at Tipton-Haynes Historic Site making sorghum and maple syrup.
